ARK (Archival Resource Key) persistent identifiers are a type of Uniform Resource Locator (URL) designed to provide long-term access to digital objects. This article explores the structure, functionality, and applications of ARK identifiers, highlighting their role in digital data storage and management. The advantages and challenges associated with ARK identifiers are discussed, providing an overview of their importance. The text reviews and analyzes implementation and practical application of ARK for the needs of the online edition of the journal “Bulgarian Neurology”.
